If you're looking for an authentic Sichuan experience, the quality of the food here won't disappoint.
Choose the Butter Mala soup base as it is Da Long Yi's signature. I thought it was more "la" (spicy) than "ma" (numbing) and might make some people sweat. Quitehi.

Another place worth visiting in Orchard Central is Nantsuttei, a Japanese restaurant famous for its ramen. Its main location is in Hadano, Kanagawa, and it has branches in Tokyo.
Their signature ramen is a simple combination of rich and creamy tonkotsu (pork bone) soup, fresh Hadano ramen noodles, aromatic ma-yu (roasted black garlic oil) floating on the surface, and homemade char siu sauce. .
Black mayu, an essential ingredient, is prepared by sautéing garlic in seven stages and blending it into a balanced mixture. This combination of ingredients has created its distinctive taste of Nantsuttei, which has not changed since its first opening.
You can find a wide variety of ingredients on their menu; this way you can update your orders from time to time.
Choose the Maru-toku Negi Chashu-men ($15.80 or AU$17), which features flavorful garlic oil in a creamy pork soup.
